Brightening Our Holidays - Announcing Home Decoration Winners!

Our Ward 2 City Councilman, James Cooper, was our Holiday Lighting Contest judge this year. We drove around the neighborhood on Sunday night, December 15th so he could see the results of all the hard work and creative hands that helped make Belle Isle West shine. He had to choose the best three and it was a much bigger job than he thought!

So many neighbors were inspired to decorate that we kept driving and checking to be sure we hadn’t missed something marvelous. It was so difficult to narrow them down to only three winners! We thought about having honorable mentions but we think anybody who risks life and limb to climb a ladder and hang lights is a winner as far as we’re concerned.

Many, many thanks to James Cooper for being such a great judge! He got out of the car in the bitter cold at every house being considered so he could shoot photos and was a delightful (and exhausted) friend to our neighborhood.
